Delivery areas include both the east and west sides of Detroit, Highland Park, Hamtramck, Grosse Pointe, Allen Park, West Bloomfield, Southfield, and if the demand is in other neighboring towns, we will consider delivery there as well. We appreciate all the orders that have been placed thus far and encourage YOU to purchase your CSA today. if you haven't already! If you believe that you won't be able to purchase a share for the entire three month series at full price, send us an email and we will be happy to set up a payment plan for you. We want to make sure everyone has access to locally grown produce, now more than ever--especially groceries that will include free delivery!
What is Deeply Rooted Produce doing to make sure my food arrives as safe as possible during the COVID-19 era? We are partnering with farmers that are taking extra precautions to process their crops safely. Some are even GAP certified, Good Agricultural Practices. As farmers we want to make sure we all are taking the necessary steps to ensure that there is limited contact with the end product that the customer receives on their door step. We are using gloves and masks when harvesting, practicing social distancing, and installing more hand washing stations to wash hands more frequently.
Other tips: use this time for reflections and preparation. If you are grateful to be spending time working from home--work on your organizational skills and practice healthy balancing techniques. If you have children, keep them engaged and continue to educate them about what you feel is important for them to know.
Please please please, drink your hot liquids and continue to support your immune system with citrus and healthy foods. Limit processed foods and excess sugar not naturally occurring in your food (like in fruits), make sure you sweat and get fresh air so that you can continue to fight what ever you may encounter. Stay safe. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions, comments, suggestions, or concerns!
